On Monday the TWU appointed a retired judge, the Union’s independent ombudsman, the Hon. Frank Marks, to examine the governance of its Queensland branch.
This followed a meeting of the Union’s National Council convened after receiving complaints about decision making within the branch at the weekend.
This process will be fully independent and at arms length from the Union. Every person involved will be afforded full procedural fairness.
